Sailing Rakali Down The Gordon River, 2026
Gordon River Tasmania, Australia
Well, this was fun! Music was sourced through Epidemic Sound Of Virtue by Christoffer Moe Ditlevesen I'll Be Around by Gavin Luke Letters by Ever So Blue Stritcher by Ajwaa

Sailing Rakali up the Gordon River, 2026
Gordon River Tasmania, Australia
We had just returned to our home start after going around the mainland anticlockwise. Neither of us had been up the Gordon River, let alone sailed there. This was an experience we'll forever cherish.
-
Sailing Rakali from Portland, Victoria to Strahan,Tas 2025-26
Strahan Tasmania, Australia
The Southern Ocean near Tassie can be hellish but we waited and waited for a safe weather window in Portland, Victoria.
-
Sailing Rakali from Kangaroo Island to Portland, Victoria, 2025
Portland Victoria, Australia
It's nearly Christmas, 2025. We're in an algal bloom in SA. After dodging some bad weather in American River, we head east first to Robe where Santa comes, and then on to Victoria. Music is sourced through Epidemic Sound.
-
Sailing Rakali from Port Lincoln to Adelaide to Kangaroo Island, 2025
Kangaroo Island South Australia, Australia
It’s December, 2025. We had crossed the Great Australian Bight but still had a way to go to make it to Adelaide/Tartanya in time to catch a train to Melbourne/Naarm to go to a wedding and see loved ones. But we made it!
-
Sailing Rakali across The Great Australian Bight, 2025
Great Australian Bight Australia
We'd waited weeks for a weather window to cross the Great Australian Bight. It was wise to wait so that we could actually enjoy much of our 5.5 days at sea.
-
Sailing Rakali from Albany to Esperance, 2025
Esperance Western Australia, Australia
The Southern Ocean is the boss here, so after sheltering for 3 weeks in Albany, these wild waters were safe enough for us to head toward Esperance. We stopped to rest in the shelter of a tiny horse-shoe shaped rock.
-
Sailing Rakali Around The SW corner of Australia, 2025
Albany Western Australia, Australia
We sail from Bunbury to Albany, where we are stuck for 3 weeks. But we make the most of it. Then I get sea sick for the first time as we sail in messy seas to an amazing little island.
-
Sailing Rakali from Abrolhos Islands to Bunbury, 2025
Bunbury Western Australia, Australia
Although it's been tough sailing down the west coast of Australia, the Abrolhos Islands have been one of the highlights of our circumnavigation. Remote atolls with coral AND sea lions, it was unforgettable.
